Please see below for information regarding a vigil that will be help in Springfield and Chicago.

June 30th is quickly approaching and if a tax increase does not pass, drastic cuts will be made. To name a few:

proposed a funding cut for CILA by 40% effective October 1
proposed a funding cut for ICF by 60% effective January 1, 2010
change the CILA rule to only require basic health and safety
cut all non-CILA DT (community people being served in DT will no longer be funded)
DHS fully expects that all ICFs will be decertified (including all the State Ops) due to being unable to meet regs with a 60% funding cut
proposed a 3 month funding delay for CILA and ICF

Our voices are being heard throughout the state.
Our unprecedented collaboration has the attention of legislators, the public and the media.
Spread the word. Call your people. Invite your legislators to join you and speak out.
Hope to see you there!
